What's expected

This level requires

years of experience in the preceding role at Flaviar, or a comparable role at another company. See the roles and competencies we want you to master at this level.

Skills & craft

  • Masterful in verbal and visual communication.
  • Versatile different design methods and tools, pick best one for each job.
  • Able to setup and run an ongoing design validation program at multi-team level.

Problem solving

  • Deep understanding of target audience and business goals, per team.
  • Define and integrate a consistent design framework across teams.
  • Understand and navigate multi-brand, multi-product setups.

Impact on the company

  • Shape design vision for one business area, with its leadership.
  • Deliver design excellence across all of the teams they work with.
  • Investigate emerging media to understand their design potential.

Communication

  • Talk in outcomes, but clearly state design outputs required to achieve them.
  • Solicit feedback in a structured manner, e.g. design critique sessions.
  • Can handle co-ordination with outsourced contributors in their field.

Collaboration

  • Hands-on design consulting for team leadership and their designers.
  • Unblock or accelerate work in teams hitting their design capacity.

Ownership

  • Briefing, shaping and execution of multiple team's design projects.
  • Guidelines and re-usable assets for our design system, in multi-team scope.
